This mailing list is specific the care and feeding of 1st generation Mazda RX-7's, built from 1978 through 1985. These spectacular little cars are unique in every sense of the word and are an absolute blast to drive.

I finally gave in to another cool LAMP application. I've put together a Wiki (user supported knowledge base/encyclopedia type thing) specifically for Rotary powered cars. The intention is to have a place to deposit generic information, maintenance procedures, caveats, and other little tidbits of information that would otherwise be unwritten. I find that common practices are becoming less and less common as people throw cars away and replace them instead of keeping them running. In an attempt to stem the tide of frustration from not having the right knowledge to properly care and feed our beloved cars, I put this knowledge base on the web. Obviously I don't have anything approaching enough information to populate any section of it but with the help of the Rotary community I hope to build a valuable resource for anyone interested in or owning a rotary engined vehicle.

The Wankel Wiki is now up and running and ready for YOUR knowlege!

The White Beast lives again! After spinning the bearing on the rear rotor in February I was quite disappointed. Yet another year of autocrossing down the drain. After being laid-off from Verio in December I was looking forward to a year of autocrossing but to no avail. Thanks to a member of the 1st Gen RX-7 Mailing list (sa22c.org) I bought a running engine. Thanks to Verio I had the time to start working on it. Thanks to The Planet I have an income to support my habits. So the car runs again. I've got it tuned in the 10kPa range which is no load. Since the car isn't quite street legal and hasn't been for six years I'll have to find a way of tuning the rest of the RPM range. I might just make it street legal and start driving it to work.
My notes on installing a Flex-a-lite Black Magic 150 electric fan on my GSL-SE can be found here
